Widening of Road 85 – Karmiel East Junction to Hanania Junction
Widening of the road and establishment of all required infrastructure and road facilities.
Among others, the following works will be executed:

• Site organization works, preparation works, dismantling, clearing and grubbing, and demolition.
• Execution of retaining wall works and drainage channels, earthworks, sub-base and base course works, and asphalt works including milling and overlay of pavements.
• Paving works for sidewalks and traffic islands, permanent railing works and safety fences, marking works and temporary traffic arrangements, traffic signage, general signage, extension of water culverts and electrical and lighting utilities, pruning and relocation of trees and infrastructure.
• Pile cap casting works, bridge beam casting, facing wall casting, and casting of floor, walls, and ceiling for drainage conduits across entry and exit facilities.
• Acoustic walls, rehabilitation and strengthening of concrete in drainage conduits, and paving works.

As part of the project, two olive trees, considered the oldest and most sacred trees in the country, were relocated.
This relocation was carried out as part of the Road 85 widening project, considered a main artery in the Galilee and Northern region, through a complex and meticulously planned operation, utilizing numerous professionals and advanced technologies.
