Contaminated Soil Remediation

The field of contaminated soils in Israel has gained significant momentum in recent years, with several types of soil contaminants identified, such as fuels, metals, acids, and oils.
A survey conducted by the Ministry of Environmental Protection reveals that there are tens of thousands of sites in Israel with potential for contaminated soil, resulting from past and present activities in the industrial, commercial, defense industry, military bases, fuel farms, waste landfills, refineries, and more.
Due to natural population growth and the significant increase in demand for apartments and residential buildings, the State of Israel is working to rehabilitate these sites for the benefit of residential construction for Israeli citizens.
Soil contaminated with hazardous materials can cause severe environmental and health impacts, typically including contamination of water sources (to the extent of rendering drinking water unusable), damage to groundwater, air pollution in underground structures, and ecological harm to vegetation and agricultural crops.
