Project Description

So what exactly is a dial? In the past, when steam locomotives were used to pull trains, it was a difficult problem to operate the steam in both directions equally, and as a result, the locomotive had to be physically turned when it reached its final stop. Turning the locomotive using a large dial with a track on it solved the problem, so that the locomotive would go up on the dial, the train would turn, and the locomotive would continue on its way in the opposite direction.
Olenik carried out the preparation work and construction of the dial structures in Ashdod and Tzafa. As part of the project, Olenik built a reinforced concrete base for the dial, sealed the underground parts, drilled concrete piles, and more.
