Project Description

Situated on one of Israel's most picturesque coastal strips, a waste site spanning approximately 200 dunams was historically utilized by the Netanya Municipality for the disposal of domestic, construction, industrial waste, and garden trimmings.

Historically, the site served the Netanya Municipality for the disposal of domestic, construction, industrial waste, and garden trimmings.
An approved urban development plan exists for the site, envisioning two complexes for residential, hotel, commercial, and beach purposes; however, current realities prevent its implementation.

The Ministry of Environmental Protection initiated a waste removal plan, taking into account the project's considerable complexity.

The numerous hazards inherent in the site's waste removal operations were thoroughly assessed, including but not limited to, odor nuisances, dust pollution from truck traffic and earthworks, explosion and fire risks due to high biogas concentrations, and the potential collapse of the kurkar cliff, which is largely obscured by the waste mass.

Olenik played an integral role in the site's material removal and recycling operations, implementing all requisite measures for environmental safety and addressing the project's inherent complexities.

Olenik executed excavation, separation, and sorting of the waste, primarily involving crushing and secondary screening, followed by the transportation and disposal of materials at authorized final destinations.
