Project Description
Olenik was selected to execute the works in one of the most asbestos-saturated areas in the State of Israel.
The site, a complex soil composition of sand and clay spanning over 5,000 sq.m., includes a covering layer consisting of boulders, kurkar (calcareous sandstone), and geotextile sheets, beneath which lies soil contaminated with friable asbestos and cement.
Following the exposure of the soil from the covering layer and vegetation, asbestos waste purification and removal works were carried out using specialized tools and technologies.
The waste was sealed in standard bags as defined in the UN Orange Book and transferred for disposal at an authorized site.
