Project Description
The Hof Yam site, known as "Apollonia" after the National Park, is situated adjacent to the city of Herzliya. Previously, the IMI (Israel Military Industries) Hof Yam plant operated on this site. The entire complex functioned as a facility for refineries, a leachate and waste pond, and was also used for the production of ammunition, explosives, and gunpowder.
Hazardous materials, acids, metals, fuels, and effluents are merely a fraction of the contaminants identified in the soil following a comprehensive survey.
Olenik was awarded the contract for the comprehensive rehabilitation of the entire site, in agreement with the Environmental Quality Services Company.
The project's execution is currently delayed due to a combination of local factors and various planning disputes.
Upon obtaining the necessary permit, Olenik will proceed with the works, aiming for the complete remediation of the site.
