Following lessons learned, the State of Israel and the Construction Division of the Ministry of Defense decided to establish a new maritime barrier in response to the security threat. The breakwater will be designed to withstand harsh marine conditions and serve the security system for many years.
As part of this project, Olenik Company is undertaking the collection and transport of suitable stones to the Zikim site, located on the border of the Gaza Strip, and their placement underwater to construct the maritime barrier.
