Project Description
The Somach Interchange Upgrade and Expansion Project, being carried out for the Ministry of Transportation and the Cross-Israel Highway Company, is a large-scale transportation project designed to upgrade one of the central transportation hubs in northern Israel. As part of the project, we are carrying out complex infrastructure and engineering work, which will ultimately transform the Somekh Interchange into a full, continuous interchange without traffic lights, with the goal of improving traffic flow, safety, and transportation connectivity in the area.
The project scope encompassed the following works:
- Expansion and Upgrade of Existing Transportation Infrastructure
- Construction of New Ramps at the Interchange
- Execution of Complex Engineering and Infrastructure Projects
- Upgrading and Adapting Infrastructure Systems
- Environmental Development Projects
- Integrating the "Nofit" light rail route into the planned transportation system in the area
The project combines road infrastructure with a future mass transit system and constitutes a significant component in the development of the transportation network in northern Israel.
Upon completion, the interchange is expected to provide an advanced and seamless transportation solution, improve accessibility and connectivity in the region, and serve the residents of the north and all road users for years to come.
