Project Description

'Fast to the City' (Mehir La'Ir), spearheaded by the Ministry of Transport via Netivei Ayalon Ltd., is a comprehensive initiative to upgrade the public transportation system within the Tel Aviv metropolitan area, aiming to establish a new benchmark for public transit. The project will establish a continuous, efficient, and convenient metropolitan network of public transport priority corridors, encompassing a broad scope that includes dedicated public transport lanes with signal priority, the construction of bicycle paths, enhancement of urban spaces and station vicinities, and an upgrade of public transport services – including increased frequency and the introduction of new routes.

Olenik was selected to execute works within the project across several segments in the city of Ramla, specifically on Herzl Street, between Dani Mas Street and King David Street, and on King Solomon Street and Klausner Street.

The project entailed geometric modifications to the alignment and intersections, encompassing demolition, infrastructure works, installation of curbstones, sidewalks, lighting systems, electrical networks, communication infrastructure, bus stations, bicycle paths, and dedicated public transport lanes.
